Proposed lease and licence for Crown Land at Thirroul Beach

Wollongong City Council is proposing to grant a lease agreement to the successful applicant of a competitive tender process for the café premises located at Part Lot 30 & Part Lot 31 Sec 3 DP 2185 and Part Lot 405 in DP 881119 (R89099), also known as Thirroul Beach Café.

The initial Agreement for Lease term will be granted for the period of the Café building repair works and a Lease Agreement for the building and outdoor dining areas to be granted for an initial five (5) years, with an option to extend for a further five (5) years, totalling ten (10) years.

Pursuant to Chapter 6 Part 2 of the Local Government Act 1993, Council is required to advertise the proposed renewal as it is located on community land.

Submissions are sought from the public and should be in writing quoting Council’s reference number T1000252.

Any submissions should be clearly outlined and based on the effect of granting the proposed Agreement for Lease, Lease for the building and outdoor dining will have on the exiting or future use of the Crown Land.
