All Together Now: A Window into the Wollongong Music Scene

Saturday 5 November to Saturday 19 November

This art installation is a visceral homage to the gritty and down-to-earth Wollongong music scene. A mixed media diorama, made up of photos, posters and memorabilia, celebrating the rich legacy of live music in the ‘Gong.

Eloise Cleary is a prolific multimedia artist based in Wollongong. A musician, graphic designer and collage artist, her range of artistic interests and skills make her uniquely placed to provide an insider’s perspective on this installation.

Chris Frape is a renowned photographer based in Austinmer. Having shot thousands of live gigs, since moving to the area in the late 2000s, no one has documented the contemporary Wollongong music scene more. Coming from the 90s indie scene himself, he has keen eye for the humanity and energy of live music.

Location

You'll find this installation in the Creative Container in the Arts Precinct on Burelli Street, Wollongong, between Wollongong Art Gallery and Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.
