Wollongong City Libraries is proud to celebrate the return of Maeve Marsden’s sell-out show Queerstories to Wollongong.
Grown out of a desire to hear the stories LGBTQIA+people want to tell, Queerstories has become an institution around Australia.
As a child of same-sex parents and a queer woman herself, Maeve Marsden is passionate about the rights of queer families and the LGBQIA+ community. She’s also a writer, producer and performer, known for her commitment to telling quality stories in innovative ways.
Queerstories is moving to a bigger space at Wollongong Town Hall this year to ensure attendees can maintain a safe physical distance.
The Library had been looking forward to welcoming Maeve and Queerstories back to the city as part of their Pride Month celebrations in June, but had to postpone after the outbreak of COVID-19 forced the cancellation of events across the globe. We are so excited to be taking the first steps towards holding some community events and this one promises to be a real show-stopper.
Tickets available via Merrigong Theatre Company.
