Librarian holding new QR-code sheet

It's the news you have been waiting for - bookings are no longer required to visit your library!

From Monday 19 October 2020, you will be able to come to the library at your leisure. Simply sign in using a QR code at the library entrance.

The safety of customers and staff will continue to be our top priority, with distancing and hygiene measures maintained.

In further great news, we have been regularly reviewing our ability to reintroduce programs, and are pleased to announce that 'Knit, Stitch, Yarn', 'Library Book Clubs', 'English Conversation Classes' and 'Justice of the Peace' sessions have returned.

Author talks are also resuming, with musician Greg Appel presenting his memoir Confessions of a Lighthouse Keeper at Wollongong Library. Our beloved Queerstories is returning, to be held at Wollongong Town Hall on Friday, 30 October. Make sure to check out our What's On section so you never miss a program.

Online programs will continue, including a brand new Online Book Club. The ‘Wollongong City Libraries Online Book Club’ will have their first virtual meeting via the Facebook group on Thursday 29 October at 7pm, to discuss Gail Honeyman’s bestseller ‘Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine’.

We want to thank our community for your support and understanding during this time, and to remind you that social distancing requirements will remain.

See you soon!
