Australia Day 2021

26 January 21 - 26 January 21 8am

Australia Day 2021 is expected to be a bit different to usual so we can keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Instead of our usual big event at Belmore Basin, you’ll be able to enjoy some COVID Safe activities throughout the day from close to your own home.

  • Keep your eyes to the sky for an aerial display including the flyover by the HARS (Historical Aircraft Restoration Society) aircraft.
  • In the evening, we’ll have three light installations to illuminate the skies of Wollongong. These will be visible from many spread-out locations.

Check back for more details closer to the event.

However you’re spending the day, please stay safe by keeping a distance from others and following NSW Health guidelines.

We hope we can bring you a bigger event again in future years, including the return of our much-loved food stallholders, activities and performances.
