Corrimal Coke Works Information Sessions go online

Wednesday 21 July 2021

In response to the current Public Health Order, Wollongong City Council has updated its Corrimal Coke Works Development Proposal Information Sessions to an online format.

Council is contacting those who had previously booked into the sessions, which were planned as face-to-face engagement opportunities, to let them know how they can join online.

The information sessions are an opportunity for people to ask Council staff questions and learn more about the proposed future development of the former Corrimal Cokeworks site by Illawarra Coke Company Pty Ltd and Legacy Property. They are seeking planning approval to rezone the former Corrimal Coke Works site located at 27 Railway Street Corrimal, to enable residential development, conservation and open space. As part of this process, Council is exhibiting the draft Planning Proposal, draft DCP chapter and draft letter of offer for community comment:

The online sessions will be held on Saturday 24 July from 3.30-4.30pm, on Monday 26 July from 4-5pm and on Tuesday 27 July from 1.30-2.30pm.

Visit Eventbrite or call (02) 4227 7238 to book your free spot or find out more.

Council continues to closely monitor the Public Health Orders and, if permitted, may make further changes to the exhibition details over the coming weeks

You can also learn more about the development proposal and how to give feedback by visiting the Our Wollongong website until 31 August 2021.
