Update on Corrimal Heated Pool Maintenance

Monday 10 May 2021

Corrimal Heated Pool is expected to remain closed for scheduled maintenance until mid-June after last week’s rainy weather conditions have made repairs challenging.

The two pools at the facility – 50m heated pool and 25m pool – are undergoing routine maintenance which includes the replacement of expansion jointing, fixing damaged tiles and repairs to the main water supply line.

This is part of our pools’ routine maintenance over the less-busy winter months. It helps extend their life, reduce unplanned works, and improve safety as we get ready for the next busy summer season.

The pool closed on Saturday 1 May and was expected to reopen by 30 May. However, the ongoing works were unable to continue last week due to the rainfall and unfavourable weather conditions making it difficult to undertake maintenance safely and effectively.

The works have now resumed and are expected to be completed by 14 June, with weather permitting.

In the meantime, we encourage our winter swimmers to visit Dapto Heated Pool or our saltwater pools. Visit Our Pools webpage for the full list of patrolled pools and the winter pool hours. And remember, there is no need to book!
