No Butts Trail

Cigarette butts are tiny, but they’re really bad news for the environment. If littered, they can cause fires and leach toxic chemicals into our soil and water.

Don't be a tosser, make sure you bin your butts (or carry a pocket ashtray with you) to keep our beaches, natural areas and waterways clean.

Trail stops

  1. Stanwell Tops: Bald Hill
  2. Stanwell Park: beach reserve, near the kiosk
  3. Austinmer: beach foreshore, near Lawrence Hargrave Drive
  4. Bulli Beach: cycleway near Ocean Park
  5. Towradgi Beach: near the playground
  6. Wollongong: Stuart Park, northern end overlooking Puckeys Lagoon
  7. Wollongong: Belmore Basin, foreshore walkway
  8. Windang: Judbooley Reserve

No Butts Trail competition

Entries have now closed in the No Butts Trail competition. We'll be in touch with the lucky winners soon!

You can still explore the trail though - check the map above for details.

This project is a NSW Environment Protection Authority, Waste Less Recycle More initiative funded from the waste levy.

Report a tosser

If you see someone littering you can report it to the NSW Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and fines can be issued from your reports.

Don't be a tosser! If it's not in the bin, it's on you
