Wollongong Harbour playground closed for maintenance

Monday 24 May 2021

From Monday 24 May 2021, Wollongong Harbour’s playground at Belmore Basin will be closed for four days for essential maintenance.

Depending on weather and other conditions the works that include a high-pressure wash and a repaint of the playground are expected to be completed by Thursday 27 May 2021 and reopen again in time for the weekend.

“Wollongong Harbour is a popular location for families as the playground is a much-loved space for our little ones,” Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

“But it’s vital that we take time to maintain our play spaces. This ensures they are safe, accessible and in the best condition for many more outdoor adventures.”

In the meantime, nearby playgrounds at Stuart Park or Lang Park can provide as alternate options or visit our Playgrounds page for more locations.
