Community Safety Reference Group
The Community Safety Reference Group considers safety, crime and community concerns, and provides input on strategies to make people feel safer in Wollongong.

Members of the Community Safety Reference Group include:
- Police representatives from the Wollongong Police District and Lake Illawarra Police District.
- Two Councillors
- One Council staff member
- Representatives from relevant government and non-government agencies. Depending on the issues being considered, this can include:
- Service representatives
- Charity and religious groups
- Business and industry representatives
- State Government departments
- Education and research experts
- Community representatives.
