Culture Mix - Getting Here
We can't wait to see you on Saturday 20 September! We encourage you to plan your trip ahead and consider the best transport option for you.
Location
The main event hub is in the Wollongong CBD across the Arts Precinct, Lower Crown Street and Crown Street Mall, Wollongong Library, and Wollongong Art Gallery.
Getting here
Public transport is the easiest way to get into Wollongong CBD. To plan your trip, visit Transport for NSW.
Bus
The festival is accessible by bus and makes it easy for you to reach different locations near the area. Along with the local bus routes, we have the free Gong Shuttle Bus (55A and 55C) that runs every 10 to 20 minutes.
Train
The closest train station is Wollongong Train Station followed by a 13 minute walk down Burelli Street. Look for the wayfinding signs to help you along the way.
- Wollongong Library, 41 Burelli Street, in front of the library
- Lower Crown Street Mall, across from ANZ Bank
- Corrimal Street Wollongong, in front of Coffee Club
Please note, you are not allowed to ride a bike through Crown Street Mall, or the festival precinct.
Parking
The nearest off-street car parking is at the following locations. All are free and untimed on weekends.
- Stewart Street (Council) car park (opposite Aldi)
- Stewart Street East car park, 17 Stewart Street
- Church Street car park
- 37 Market Street car park (first 2 hours free)
There are also on-street parking spaces in Wollongong’s centre. Time limits apply on Saturdays between 8.30am and 12.30pm.

Road closures
Please note there are road closures in place. More information about the closures is below.
Drop off and pick up zone
We have a dedicated accessible drop off and pick up zone on Burelli Street adjacent to the Arts Precinct and in front of the Wollongong Art Gallery.
This zone will be available to use during the festival. Strictly no parking allowed.
Parking
Accessible parking bays at the following locations:
- In front of Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, 32 Burelli Street
- Stewart Street car park, 28 Stewart Street
- Stewart Street East car park, 17 Stewart Street
- MacCabe Park car park, 86 Church Street (additional bays)
No bookings are available for these bays, they are provided on a first come basis.

Road closures
To create a safe major outdoor dining and pedestrian precinct for the event, the following road will be closed from 6am to 10pm on Saturday 20 September:
- Crown Street, between Kembla Street and Corrimal Street
Affected residents and business will be notified prior to the event.
