Culture Mix - Getting Here

We can't wait to see you on Saturday 20 September! We encourage you to plan your trip ahead and consider the best transport option for you.

Location

The main event hub is in the Wollongong CBD across the Arts Precinct, Lower Crown Street and Crown Street Mall, Wollongong Library, and Wollongong Art Gallery.

Getting here

Public transport is the easiest way to get into Wollongong CBD. To plan your trip, visit Transport for NSW.

Bus

The festival is accessible by bus and makes it easy for you to reach different locations near the area. Along with the local bus routes, we have the free Gong Shuttle Bus (55A and 55C) that runs every 10 to 20 minutes.

Train

The closest train station is Wollongong Train Station followed by a 13 minute walk down Burelli Street. Look for the wayfinding signs to help you along the way.

The nearest bike racks are available at the following locations:
  • Wollongong Library, 41 Burelli Street, in front of the library
  • Lower Crown Street Mall, across from ANZ Bank
  • Corrimal Street Wollongong, in front of Coffee Club

Please note, you are not allowed to ride a bike through Crown Street Mall, or the festival precinct.

Parking

The nearest off-street car parking is at the following locations. All are free and untimed on weekends.

There are also on-street parking spaces in Wollongong’s centre. Time limits apply on Saturdays between 8.30am and 12.30pm.

Check street signs for parking restrictions.

Road closures

Please note there are road closures in place. More information about the closures is below.

Drop off and pick up zone

We have a dedicated accessible drop off and pick up zone on Burelli Street adjacent to the Arts Precinct and in front of the Wollongong Art Gallery.
