COVID-19 update

Under NSW Public Health Orders, community sport, including training and matches, cannot go ahead in the Wollongong area.

Please contact your club or association directly for updates on their activities.

We will also be turning lights on at selected Council sportsgrounds to give people more options to exercise outdoors while stay at home orders are in effect. For details see our COVID-19 Updates page.

We look after many sportsgrounds across our city.

We don't like closing sportsgrounds, but sometimes we need to for maintenance, events, or when play in wet weather could damage the surface. Clubs may also decide to cancel activities, even if Council hasn't closed grounds. Check with your sports club if you need to confirm whether play is going ahead.
