Update on our sportsgrounds

Our sportsgrounds have now reopened for training and competition.

Clubs and local sports associations must make sure their individual activities follow the latest NSW Public Health Order and always ensure your club is operating in compliance to its approved COVID-19 safety plan. These individual plans focus on the wellbeing of participants, volunteers, parents and carers, and provide clear guidelines on physical distancing, record keeping, health and hygiene practices that will be audited by the individual sports associations.

If you need information about how your sports association is responding to coronavirus, please contact your club or association directly.

We look after many sportsgrounds across our city.

We don't like closing sportsgrounds, but sometimes we need to for maintenance, events, or when play in wet weather could damage the surface. Clubs may also decide to cancel activities, even if Council hasn't closed grounds. Check with your sports club if you need to confirm whether play is going ahead.

Information about the sportsgrounds controlled by Council is shown below.
