Extreme weather conditions are forecast for Wednesday 22 October. This includes very high temperatures, strong winds and extreme fire danger conditions.

Council is monitoring conditions, and we'll provide updates if any of our services change due to the weather.

Please note the following expected changes:

  • Continental Pool will be closed for essential electrical repairs. Visit our Beaches and Pools page to find other places you can swim.
  • Beach patrol hours may be extended if conditions are suitable. Always remember, no flags = no swim.

Stay alert

With extreme fire danger conditions expected, it's important to stay alert for bush fires.
