Face-to-face citizenship ceremonies have resumed on a month-to-month basis. All ceremonies are by invitation only, and are not open to the public to attend.
We host Citizenship Ceremonies to welcome people in our community who are taking the step to become an Australian citizen.
Our city’s largest annual Citizenship Ceremony is held during our Australia Day program on 26 January, with smaller ceremonies held across the remainder of the year.
These ceremonies are organised by the Australian Government’s Department of Home Affairs.
If you’d like information about ceremonies or becoming an Australian citizen, contact the Department directly. See the Department of Home Affairs website or call 13 18 80.
