Designated Officers

Council is required by legislation to make the returns of interests by ‘designated officers’ available free of charge on Council’s website.

A ‘designated person’ includes:

• the general manager
• other senior staff of the council
• any other member of staff or delegate of the Council who holds a position that  involves the exercise of a function that could give rise to a conflict of interest
• a member of a committee of the council identified by the council as a committee involving the exercise of functions that could give rise to conflicts of interest.

Council has redacted the addresses from online versions of the returns to protect the safety of the individuals named, however applications can be made in accordance with the GIPA Act to request access to an unredacted version. Such applications will be considered on a individual basis.
