Have your say

Wollongong City Council is constantly working to improve the way we engage and communicate with our community.

In the past, Council has used a number of communication methods including kiosks, community planning sessions, mail outs, newspaper advertising, Ward Councillor Forms and Local Area Meetings.

Recent changes in Council, in particular the appointment of three Administrators to undertake the role previously performed by the Lord Mayor and elected Councillors, as well as a shift from Neighbourhood Committees to Local Area Meetings, mean that some of the ways in which the community previously communicated with Council have changed.

Our community consultation process aims to inform residents, promote community input and encourage people to have their say on current issues relating to the Wollongong local government area.

Please visit the have your say page for more information about comnunity engagemnt and our community engagement calendar for all upcoming events.

We also reccomend that you visit our DAs on exhibition page as we place a range of draft plans and documents on public exhibition so the community has the opportunity to comment. .

If you want to be engaged in the future Council matters, please email you name, address, phone number to our Social Planning Division.
