If you’re organising a wedding, you must follow the NSW Government’s current rules for ceremonies and receptions and have a COVID Safety Plan in place if required.
Rules for weddings can change at short notice, and we may be required to change or cancel your booking to meet any restrictions in place at the time of your booked activity. We will discuss this with you if the situation arises.
If you’re looking for the perfect venue to hold a wedding or commitment ceremony, Wollongong has plenty of options.
From lush gardens to beachfront parks and impressive buildings, we have spaces for intimate groups, large gatherings and everything in between.

All of our beaches and parks, are alcohol-free areas, and can only be hired for ceremonies.
See our Wedding Hire Conditions page for rules that apply to wedding bookings for parks and beaches. For conditions that apply at the Botanic Garden or Art Gallery, contact the venue directly.
Wollongong makes a stunning backdrop for wedding photography.
Some of our most popular photography locations include the harbour and lighthouse, Wollongong Botanic Garden, Bald Hill Reserve, and our many beaches.
You generally don’t need permission or a booking to take wedding photos in public spaces across Wollongong. We just ask that you don’t disturb other people enjoying these areas.
If you’re planning a more complex photo shoot, or if you’d like to use a drone in a public area for wedding filming or photography, see our Filming and Photography page.
